   The Inspiration Behind Pipper Standard®

The inspiration for Pipper Standard® began in 2010, when our founders experienced a severe allergic reaction after using conventional household cleaning products. The incident prompted them to question whether effective cleaning products could be developed using safer, 

naturally derived ingredients.

Driven by this vision, they set out to develop a new generation of cleaning products that combine high performance with naturally derived, biodegradable ingredients.

Peter Wainman, an MIT-trained engineer and scientist (Class of 1992), approached the challenge through scientific research and product innovation. Together with co-founder Sirilak Narongtanupone, he spent four years (2011–2014) conducting research and development with the goal of creating natural cleaning products that deliver cleaning performance comparable 

to leading conventional brands.

Their research led to the discovery of the cleaning potential of Bromelain Active, an enzyme extracted from pineapples sourced from Thai farmers. This innovation became the foundation of Pipper Standard® and the company's proprietary cleaning technology.
